My 5 Winter Wardrobe essentials
With temperatures in single figures this week, it’s time to update your wardrobe ready for the cold months ahead! (And with black Friday deals this week you have no excuse!
THE OVERSIZED SCARF
The best way to stay warm and add colour and texture to your wardrobe is an oversized scarf. Asos are great for this as they’ve got every colour and pattern you could want. Scarves are also useful for spicing up plain outfits and making you look more put together.
A recent obsession of mine is coated jeans, they keep you warm and looking stylish. Pair them with a simple top or jumper and ankle boots and you’re ready to go. If you’re feeling brave leather jeans and leggings also have the same effect! You’ll be wearing jeans for most of the cold months so why not try something a bit different?
This one goes without saying, but there are so many options that I thought I would tell you about some of my favourites. Pastel pink and blue are traditionally spring colours however they work in autumn too! It’s a great option when you want to add some colour and avoid dark toned outfits. Cut out tops from summer have also transitioned into cut out jumpers for autumn!
FAUX FUR TEDDY COAT
Ok so this one isn’t an essential but it’s one to have in your wardrobe! They are all over shops right now and look so warm and comfortable, like walking out the house in your dressing gown (but it’s acceptable!).
I saved my favourite for last, there is nothing better than a really stunning pair of boots! Statement boots in crushed velvet and sparkles? Yes please! Whether you got for thigh high boots or ankle ones they are going to keep you warm and feeling confident.
