Halal Street Food Festival

Ever wanted to attend a street festival only to find it couldn’t pass your halal checklist? Well, you’re just in luck as we have the perfect solution for you! Halal Gems will be hosting Street Eats, London’s biggest street food festival in July. The festival will be a showcase of the best picks of street foods from the city (All Halal!) including traders such as Chit Chaat Chai, Rola Wala, Blue Top Ice Cream, Oil Baba’s Halloumi Fries, Khao London and Bintang. You will be spoilt for choice at this festival and we’re already salivating reading this list.

The two-day festival happening on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th of July is a perfect place for people to enjoy themselves and have a great time. There will be lawn games, giveaways, activities for kids and grownups! It’s a no-alcohol and family friendly festival showcasing the best of London’s street food scene.

Is there a catch to this exciting lineup? None. The festival is free to the public and Street Eats has partnered with Penny Appeal’s Feed Our World campaign, asking people to donate whatever they can to those who live in food poverty both at home in the UK and abroad.

“People are encouraged to donate whatever they would normally spend on an entry fee, or perhaps the cost of their coffee or lunch, to someone who needs it,” says Ridwana Wallace-Laher, Partnerships Manager at Penny Appeal.

You can donate to the Street Eats campaign here: bit.ly/se-campaign.

A good foodie experience doesn’t end after eating, and the ethos of Street Eats includes a commitment to a close to zero waste target. Working with local recycling organisations, Street Eats aims to ensure that all materials are recycled after the event. Leftover food will be distributed to local shelters.

Register for your tickets now and we hope to see you there!
