Boss of Indian Muslim restaurant in Singapore, Zam Zam, saved for three years to take 27 of his staff members for their first Umrah (minor pilgrimage) – including paying for their travel visas, tickets and hotel accommodation!

Manager at Zam Zam, Zackeer Khan, told The Straits Times that his boss – who wanted to remain unnamed – had planned this trip to repay the staff for their years of work with the company. All those who went on the trip have worked for the company for 5-30 years and so, the trip was a profound way to thank the loyalty of the staff members.

Mr Navas Koleth, 30, who has worked at Zam Zam for seven years, commented on the trip saying, “I am really happy to work here. It is very difficult to find a boss like this who can sponsor (our trips). We are like a family, it was our dream (to go for Umrah).”

Despite the boss withholding the overall cost of the trip, it is estimated that the trip cost up to $84,000 for all 28 men.

May Allāh accept the efforts of the man who organised this trip and saved for 3 years to take his staff to the house of Allāh; may it weigh heavy on his scales on a day where it matters!
