Meet the founder of @Hijarbie!
Haneefah Adam (@muslimahanie) the Muslim woman behind #Hijarbie! She also currently owns and runs a modest lifestyle brand, Hanie (@haniecollection).
The outfits are inspired by the everyday look of a hijab-wearing girl. There a lot of themes I’ll play around with as the page goes on. I emulated some blogger’s looks to create an awareness for the page in the past and that helped grow the page substantially. It is nothing compared to the attention it got after the news went global.
Not at the moment. But maybe when Hijarbi marries, we might see some. But since I have more interest in female fashion, I’ll prefer to dress up a doll with that in mind.
It’s been a little bit difficult because I have to do so many things on my own. There are a lot of emails and interview requests to attend to and it’s difficult to keep up. It is fun though, Alhamdulilah. The huge interest shows that one is doing something worthwhile. I can’t wait for the major attention to be over.
I should, depending on the opportunities that present itself in sha Allah.
I don’t really have one though I’m always inspired by Kindness. It seems so simple but it serves as a backbone to so many other things. Kindness radiates it makes you patient and adds tremendously to a good character.
Prayer is key. Only Allah can make anything easy for someone. When that part is settled and time is managed well, everything falls very well into place.
If one can combine both, brilliant. Some people are blessed with being able to multi-task. A business idea has to be executed properly to make it worthwhile. I didn’t do anything about the hijab-wearing doll idea for over 3 months, told no single soul, just focused in my studies which were the priority at that time. I still worked on it immediately after I finished up my studies.
One has to be prayerful and hope for the very best from Allah.
Patience as well, sometimes things work out and sometimes they don’t, one has to be able to persevere during those time.
Knowledge is important too, researching into the business matter and learning as much as one can on what it’s about to be embarked on and how to run smooth operations while still trusting ones gut.
I would like to be remembered as someone who was a positive influence and got things done in sha Allah.
