The makeup break-up is a  Youtube channel dedicated to disassembling makeup products so that we can have a better understanding of what is inside them. The Australian friends, mockingly analyse major brand products and give an honest insight into what is behind the bravado of the packaging and advertisement.

“We destroy make up for fun, and sometimes to learn something.”

They seek to do so for gratification purposes (you’ll understand why when you watch them slice in half a pretty highlighter). They also seek to do so to help raise awareness as to what is inside the product and to ensure the packaged information regarding the product is accurate, weighing it, in order to test the amount in grams, after demolishing it. It isn’t just educational, its pretty hilarious too, kind of like watching your scientist sister and her friend dissecting a frog for a lab experiment, except the frog, in this case, is beauty products, from your favourite brands. Plus they have great accents which are always fun. They upload a new video each week, so lots of makeup to analyse. Enjoy!
