Over 13,000 Sanitation workers and supervisors were hired during the 2018 pilgrimage season. The workers have been introduced into the holy city, to do better in keeping green. Thousand of cleaners have been working hard to separate plastic waste and compost as over 2 million Muslims had wrapped up their annual hajj pilgrimage.
Two children were reportedly killed by Saudi air attacks in the Saada province, just as the, “UN special envoy arrives in Sanaa for peace talks.” Rescuers sifted through rubble to find, three-year-old Nabil, and new-born Sumood. On Saturday a UAE and Saudi alliance bombed the home of the children in the Marran district a poverty-stricken area just 40km from Saudi. The province is not unfamiliar with the bombings since Saudi has been launching air attacks on Yemen since 2015.
The Pakistani government has said they will issue passports and ID cards to all Pakistani’s born in Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan has made a pledge to action existing Pakistani laws, granting citizenship to all those born on Pakistani soil, which includes Afghan and Bangladeshi refugees. “A major departure from previous policy,” Aljazeera reports.
