WHERE Variable, find 6 here August bank holiday is upon us and is it really a bank holiday if there is no BBQ? Whether it’s a date for two or a group of friends and family, we’ve rounded up 6 parks you can BBQ in across London. Please note some parks require BBQs to not be put straight onto the grass so take along a couple of bricks! Please read the terms for each site before attending. Happy bbq-ing!

Exhibition – AI: More Than Human WHERE Barbican Centre, Silk St, Barbican, London EC2Y 8DS WHEN Thu 22 – Sat 24 Aug 10am-10pm Sun 25 – Mon 26 Aug 10am-9pm TICKETS Mon-Fri £15 Sat-Sun £17 The ‘festival-style’ exhibition takes you on a journey to explore our relationship with artificial intelligence. The interactive journey brings together artists, scientists and researchers to experience the possibilities of AI through exhibits and installations.

World’s Largest Inflatable Obstacle Course WHERE Alexandra Palace Way, London, N22 7AY WHEN 23rd – 28th August, Variable times for adults and kids, 10 am onwards TICKETS £5 – £25, kids tickets and spectator tickets available Named The Monster, this 300-metre long obstacle course sees you go through over 40 obstacles including an 18-metre mega slide and bouncy castles. Please note alcohol is present in the adult sessions.

Parkside Pick Your Own Fruit & Veg WHERE Parkside Farm, Hadley Road, Enfield, Middlesex, EN2 8LA WHEN Tues to Sat 9am-5pm (last entry 4 pm) Sundays – variable depending on crop availability – call 020 8367 2035 on Sat. evening to check TICKETS Minimum spend £4 adult/child From strawberries and raspberries to sweetcorn and courgette, head down to Enfield to pick your own fruit and veg this bank holiday weekend. A great fun-filled activity for families and kids!

5. Exhibition – FOOD: Bigger Than The Plate WHERE V&A Cromwell Rd, Knightsbridge, London SW7 2RL WHEN Until 20th October TICKETS £17.00, £10 tickets available every Friday in August. Children under 12 go free. Explore the food chain with this exhibition “Inviting visitors to participate, taste and debate, this bold exhibition explores current experiments at every stage of the food system – from compost to table.”
6. Exhibition – Olafur Eliasson in Real Life WHERE Tate Modern, Bankside, London SE1 9TG WHEN Until 5th January TICKETS ££18 / FREE for Members, Concession £17, Family child 12–18 years £5, Under 12s FREE (up to four per family adult) Galleries of rain, shadow play and foggy tunnels, walk through these immersive installations which show what an artist’s perspective can bring to issues of climate change, energy, migration as well as architecture.
