Selina: ” My journey began 5 years ago when I started thinking more about my life. I was at a low point and in total honesty I was experiencing a really challenging time in various areas of my life. I’d just got married, left a secure job with the thoughts of pursuing charity work and had moved to the opposite end of London, away from all my family and friends. I wasn’t practicing, I wasn’t praying and I wasn’t conscious about things like intention or hugely aware of the concept of ‘pleasing Allah’.

Islam gave me purpose and hugely help strengthen me internally. Hijab for me was part of that journey, it was a lifestyle change in every aspect. With regards to hijab, I still struggle some days and when that happens I try and just take some time out to remind myself why I have chosen to wear hijab and dress modestly.

Sometimes hearing others stories can help too and it’s interesting to hear what brought them to this point. We’ve pulled together vlogs from some of your favorite Influencers on their hijab journeys. Whatever you take away just know we are all struggling in our own way and all striving too.

Whatever you take away or wherever  you are in your personal journey, just know we are all struggling in our own way and all striving too. “
