Ramadan is often overlooked as a time in which we must introspectively assess our actions holistically. That means taking absolutely everything into account most of all our eating! The lifestyle and culture surrounding Ramadan can often mean excessive: eating, consuming. Our accountability is to Allah from the amount of water we waste, our mindfulness of the treatment of the animals that will serve to fill our stomachs every night, to the processed foods we are allowing into the bodies Allah (swt) entrusted us with. Here is how people have taken to their #VeganRamadan this year:
Man from the Mosque always sees me eating Granola and dates (which he calls rabbit food) lol
2day he said I’ve made you some food & its VALAL (Vegan & Halal)
