Abdullah al-Khaulani reported that when Uthman b. ‘Affan tried to rebuild the mosque of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) the people began to talk about this. Uthman b. ‘Affan said: You discuss it very much whereas I have heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who builds a mosque– and the narrator Bukair said: I think he also said: (for) seeking the pleasure of Allah- Allah would build (a similar house for him in Paradise). and in the narration of Harun (the words are):” A house for him in Paradise.” (Sahih: Muslim)
A woman from Saudi Arabia has touched many on social media recently when her story made the rounds. The widow set an example, by using her inheritance money all from her husband’s retirement salary and savings over the course of 30 years, and used it to build a mosque. Her son Mohammad Al Harbi, posted a picture to his Twitter account on Monday, illustrating his mother standing in the mosque she constructed in her husband’s name. *wipes tear.* Here is a picture of the woman standing in the mosque taken from a local news agency. Mohammad explains the beauty of his mother’s character in never being a woman of luxury but rather wanted to save everything she had to fulfil her dream of building a mosque.

The translation of Muhammads Tweet: “How great you are mom. She saved every riyal for 30 years to build a mosque. She sacrificed every luxury and left every enjoyment for 30 years. And today, she has built the mosque she has always dreamed. May he rest in peace. Only Allah we belong.”
Not long after it was posted, the Tweet went viral, and touched millions of social media users, particularly after a month of sheer devotion to Allah. What a beautiful sentiment, and the best way to honour her late husband, in giving him the greatest inheritance for the next life. My allah accept it from her and make it a means for them both to enter the highest ranking in Jennah. Ameen.
