40 degrees inside the water and 2 degrees outside the water! Highly recommend stopping by the @bluelagoonis during a trip to Iceland. Although the morning is the most popular time, we booked it for just before sunset (5.30-6pm) and it was a little less busy. It also meant we got to have the hazy pre-sunset and dark post-sunset experience! When travelling to a new country, I always do lots of research about their food and the dishes that dominate their culinarily culture. The thing I loved about Iceland is that fresh seafood makes up 70% of their menu at restaurants. In Icelandic waters, there are 340 fish species, meaning you can guarantee some fresh fish on your plate! In fact, seafood helped bring the economy back to life after the economic crash in 2008 (read up about this economy crash, it’s so interesting).
