Kanye West “slavery was a choice”

What happened?

This week has largely been hijacked by Kanye Wests controversial comments surrounding race on Twitter, ranging from outward support toward Communications Director of Turning point USA Candace Owens, who has openly mocked the Black Lives Matter movement calling it ‘victimhood’ mentality. West has also previously shown support for president Donald Trump, and took to Twitter to express his continued support, featuring his MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat. West’s most recent excavations were documented by TMZ after he revealed in an interview the reason for his initial support for Trump,  occurred as a result of being drugged on Opioids after his liposuction surgery. In the midst of his confrontational speech, he went on to say, “slavery was a choice”, to TMZ employees. The speech was interrupted by an eloquent fan of Wests who vehemently disagreed with his stance on slavery and black on black crime.
