Dhul Hijjah Inspired Crafts and Activities for Your Little Ones

by in Culture & Lifestyle on 15th August, 2018

The second Eid seems to be the Eid where we all seem to forget and it surprises us but since having kids I have been encouraged to look into Dhul Hijah more and it’s the Eid that has some of the most exciting crafts for kids.

Arts and crafts as well as story telling are some of the best ways to get children involved and aware of what the ‘second Eid’ is about. We’ve shortlisted some of our favourite crafts and resources for parents, teachers and loved ones.

Hajj Project

This lovely Hajj scene was created by father Jamal.D.K

We love that it could be used again and again through the year.

Alhamdullilah, we're ready for Eid! . I felt really overstretched this week and decided to change my plans a little so that I was less stressed and could actually enjoy the days leading up to Eid. . So my food gifts this Eid aren't homemade (but they were wrapped and personalised ????) and we've only got one set of bunting and lights up but the kids love it. . I saved their sheep pages to do today so that they could form part of the 'decor' and also so that they were occupied as much as possible with different activities throughout the day. . I pray you are all having a productive day of Arafah. For the sheep printable, or Eid Mubarak bunting printables (not pictured), pop over to the blog – it's not too late! . Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones from me and mine. If you are returning from Hajj soon, Hajj Maqbool inshaAllah! . Much love! ❤️

Story telling with books and story stones

So excited to have ordered these Hajj theme story stones from @once_upon_a_stone_ . As we aren’t in Makkah for these few weeks before Eid ul Adha, I wanted to recap my journey of Hajj with the girls and these stones looked too cute to miss out on! Love the intricate design and detailed drawing – looking forward to making my next customised fairy tale story stones order soon! Thank you so much @once_upon_a_stone_ for this, great communication and packaging too! . . . #storystones #hajjtheme #mummyblogger #eid #hajj #mina #kabah #makkah #sheep #mina #storytime #365homeschool #storytime #mamateachesme #storytelling #review #storystone #handmade #happycustomer #homeedfun #homeed #homeschoolmom #homeschoolanytime #homeschooling
